Established in 1999 by Gene Trumbull, Custom Built Spas is backed with several years of industry experience as well as over 30 years of field experience in the building and mechanical trades. Custom Built Spas is dedicated to helping those ambitious do it yourselfers and home owners build and create a spa, hot tub, swim spa or exercise pool project that will add significant value to their home as well as offer a wonderful recreational environment for the whole family to enjoy or relax in.
Gene Trumbull is one of the nations recognized leading authorities on spa, hot tub, swim spa and exercise pool building. He has been interviewed by industry magazines such as Pool & Spa News and articles on his project manuals have been posted on several prominent "handyman" web sites over the last several years.

Policies and Procedures:
Books and CD packages:
Books and CD's
can be returned anytime within one year of purchase. Cost and shipping charges will be refunded in full with the exception of packages sent overseas. Refunds for overseas books or CD packages will NOT include shipping charges.
Spa Parts Purchases:
All spa parts that are purchased from Custom Built Spas will carry only the warrantee offered by the manufacturer, no exceptions. Any parts being returned for warrantee will be shipped at the customers expense.
Parts Refunds:
No parts shall be returned for refund without prior authorization from Custom Built Spas! Return shipping costs will be the responsibility of the sender. It is advised that any parts returned be insured against damage or loss, as damaged or lost parts do not qualify for a refund, NO exceptions! A 20% restocking fee will be applied to all returned spa parts. Spa parts sent overseas cannot be returned unless the parts received were defective, damaged, were not the right item ordered or prior return authorization has been issued. Parts being returned from overseas are subject to shipping fees and delivery expenses and are the responsibility of the purchaser. Overseas parts deliveries may be subject to fees, tariffs, taxes, import duties etc.. that are customary to the purchasers country. These costs are not part of any shipping costs collected by Custom Built Spas.
